Frightening! Anyway, hello there! How long's it been since I last posted? A day? A week? I forget now... hah...

That aside, I am positively elated! Why, you ask ( Or possibly don't, sorry)? It is because I just secured the chances of me getting a PS3 for graduation to eleventh! How cool is that? I love my dad. The reason why I would want a system such as that is because a year ago or so, a game came out that I had previously heard about as looking 'kinda like Mother 3/Earthbound'; except that was the ROID version of the game, and the PS3 is not whatever that is, that's for sure. I don't even remember whether or not the ROID thing came off that well because I haven't heard a word of it since then, and every time I look it up I get steroids instead. Anyway, this is a picture of it from a while back when it was still in development:
Look vaguely familiar to some of you?
I'm sure a bunch of you would know what game I'm talking about if I said the name, but maybe you already know, because 'PS3' definitely narrows it down, doesn't it?

It's... (drumroll) ... (drum).... (roll)... (Okay I'll stop)...

  ---Ni No Kuni! Hooraaaay!

I bet a bunch of you are slapping your knees all like, 'I KNEW it!' or something. I am in love with a classic-style JRPG; don't see that every day, do ya? (laugh)

Anyway, as you all do not know, I have looked far and wide for good RPGs to play, and NNK is the closest I'll ever get to my ideal RPG: Good storyline, fantastic battle system, great music ( done by Joe Hisaishi, might I add.) , Studio Ghibli, Level 5 ( if any of you have played Professor Layton, you know them.), 349 page grimoire full of lore, a bestiary, old language, and spells; an entire sprawling overworld, great CG backgrounds, and MONSTER CATCHING!!! It's my dream come true!! I mean, lookit this!
That's absolutely sensational! All that detail in one shot, and in 3D! The characters are pretty cute too ( That's also part of the reason I want the game, of course; can't forget the adorable 13-year-old boys and fairies... eheh... oh lordy I sound like a creep...)! It's also got sort of a dark undertone, from what I've seen ( animals swallowing swords and armor for stat boosts, anyone? Sorry for so many bracket comments...), so it's all pretty great.

There's also a DS version of the game, which this is actually a remake of, but there were problems translating the double-screen wonder, so it's only in Japanese so I can't really play it.... I have tried though, using a PDF of the magic book and a ROM file, but still no dice. I like the PS3 version better anyway, despite all the beautiful drawn backgrounds in the DS version... sob...

Can't wait to catch 'em all in Ni No Kuni this summer!

Okay so I actually have no idea what to write but whatever (laugh).

I am eating cookies in class; screw the rules ( I've been eating in class for the entire semester so far because Mrs. Wood doesn't get mad at me for it.) And now I'm attempting to peel a giant orange. Crazy.

Apples just weren't good enough today ( that would be funnier if I could actually say that to your faces.). Except I'd rather choke on apple slices than orange ones.

Anyway, yesterday, I watched the movie this beautiful island is from with my father:
Laputa: Castle In The Sky, one of my absolute favourite movies. Nothing beats the great idea of a giant island in the sky, with over a hundred years of ancient Laputan history! Oh, how I wish it were real... This movie is one of the greater parts of my early childhood, watching it with parents, cousins, friends... starting up my love of all things related to the sky and flying (along with Kiki's Delivery Service, another great one!). Anyway, my dad liked it too, it seems.

Last night, I became very interested in the supposed 'Laputan Language' on the monument in this shot:
Picture
The movie is absolutely filled to the brim with great painted backgrounds!
Look at that! Don't the etchings look like they would make for really neat of a language? So, it inspired me to write up my own characters ( sorta, it's still like Skyward Sword Hylian; different characters for the same English alphabet.), 'cause I couldn't even find a fan-made script for Laputan! It was really fun to make my own, though! Now I just need to memorize it!

Orange juice is squirting outta my mouth on accident now, so it's time I stopped. Bye!

one of my favourites of the scenery art.
Also, I hate oranges. Don't ask why I'd eat them if I hate them.

It is space you can many breads, know?

So, it's a big day: My brother and dad's birthdays. Yes, my dad and brother were born almost the same date. Brother's might have been later, but we still merged them; it's easier that way. Anyway, dad and mom are going out to an antique shop in the middle of nowhere today, so I hope they have fun with that.

I gave dad some birthday hugs. Remember to give your father/mother/fathers/mothers hugs too!

It's a work period in Tech because the teacher's away. Who woulda thought? Also, who would've thought I'd have to disable Grammarly because it was annoying the heck outta me and changing my indentations as well as blocking my view? Not like I needed it, though.  Anyway, I borrowed my dad's cell phone this morning to take some "better" photos of the petit I recieved. They may still not be in the most professional level of photography today, but they're definitely better than that joke of a 3DS camera! I'll post a few later in the entry.

Before that, holy crap, this class is loud! So many chatterboxes! Just because we have a substitute doesn't mean you can just use your outside voice and disregard all manners.

Lastly, I wrote more for my English section, so that'll be up soon. I hope you enjoy my entirely crap-- wait, I mean totally alright writing style and stuff like that. Haha... Remember, leave me a suggestion and I'll definitely attempt to fix something or incorporate ideas in there somewhere!

That's all from me, so enjoy some pictures after the break!

Yesterday I went home feeling something good was going to happen ( That's every day, by the way), and it did! Being an insane fan of the Manga series Detective Conan, a while back I went looking for merchandise. Now, I am also quite interested with Good Smile Company, mainly because their figures are extremely detailed despite being so small. They have a series of the smallest, most detailed figures I've ever seen called Nendoroid 'puchi' petit (ねんどろいどぷち), and I found out they made one of the main character a year back in celebration of the 16th movie revealing of Detective Conan! Anyway, I bought it ( along with the book it came with, volume 75 of the series. Too bad I can't read Japanese...), and yeah, it took a few weeks, but as I said: It definitely came! I took a few pictures as well, so I'll post them in this blog entry.

I made a futile attempt to make my pictures look better. Thanks, 3DS.

He looks so confident!!

hurrah! The manga volume it came with!
As with most of Good Smile's Petit series, He's absolutely gorgeous! Whatever plastic they used ( I believe ABS, since it said that on the bottom of the box), it feels so great! The colour they used for his skin looks exactly like shortbread cookie dough after hardening... I wouldn't recommend trying to eat him, though!

He also sparkles a bit when met with light from certain angles, which I thought was actually really funny! Also, on the paint job, overall the detail ( Like in most of GSC's figures) is spectacular! The only paint bleeding I've observed so far was on his right leg where the shoe joins his sock, which isn't a problem for me.

The only thing that disappoints me is the unfortunate reality that the glasses are formed to the fringe. Oh well, no glasses-less Conan for me...

Oh, oh! As well, if you guys are into murder mysteries, lots of blood, and manga, I highly suggest the series! Don't be fooled by the main character looking like a child, though ( He's actually 17, but I won't spoil anything else). It's actually a 16+ rated series! And, the movie this figure was promoting was The Eleventh Striker. It was so fun to watch! Lots of action.

Anyway, that's it for my fawning, see you guys next entry!
